This poly-carbonate chair mat is the way to go. It has been in my office for almost a month and is holding up perfectly. The 79″ x 48″ size is great for my space, it spans the area for my “90 deg” workspace (meaning my PC and phone are on a side desk at a 90 to my primary desk).
Awarded at the 4-Star level due to the fact that the mat walks around, very slowly. You don’t know when or why, but it always ends up slid towards the side desk by Friday. Either my office is downhill, or the nibs are built too short for my carpet. But it’s fairly easy to realign once per week.

I could not be happier getting this product. My old chair mat lasted for 4 years. Then it started to crack. I came to this product during search. The delivery was fast. It did spring out during unwrapping. But since enough warning was provided, there was no issue. The surface is beautiful and it looks very durable. I recommend it!

First, shipping was awesome: it arrived 2 days earlier than listed.
Second; this mat looks like others I’ve bought that last about a month-but the vendor (and every review I read) said it would last far longer. It has. I work from 2 desks at 90 degrees from each other: not only has this mat lasted incredibly well it is big enough where I can back up AND move form desk to desk without falling off and tearing up my area rugs. I’m 6 foot and 220 pounds and this mat does not crack or split ANYWHERE from my weight.
If the mat ever does break I plan to go right back and buy another.
