This truly works better than TERRO by a long shot! My sugar ants appear each year in the same spots. I ordered this because the feed backs were good. The ants did not like the Terro and avoided the traps. As soon as I put these on the floor, I had so many ants respond immediately. That was yesterday watching them go into the trap and head back to the nest. To my surprise this a.m., I had dozens of ants dead around the trap and no live activity whatsoever! We will see what the coming day will show. Very pleased!

I wanted to double up and use these, along with terro traps. They’re difficult to snap open. It requires a lot of pressure and they don’t always snap off cleanly, as shown in the picture. Another issue is that I’ve noticed our ants rarely go in these. They flock to the terro traps and maybe 2-3 will occasionally wander in these. Just not very effective for our situation, unfortunately.

Four stars because even with the clear instructions on how to use the baits, I cannot open them. My husband has to open them because the tab is not easily pushed down and broken off. He has had to dig some of the plastic out of the holes that should be opened for the ants to enter. Once we got them opened and placed, they were very effective and no more ants within 24 hours!

I had tiny ants in my apartment kitchen. Not a major influx, but a constant presence. A professional exterminator sprayed and seemed to have solved the problem. But a couple of days later the ants were back. I bought these Combat Bait Stations, opened up one according to directions and laid it on the kitchen counter. I observed a few ants entering the bait station. When I got up this morning – not an ant in site!

I have had my many tries with ant traps, I have the little plastic white domes (I forgot the brand) scattered in nooks and crannies in the house and I have used the little horizontal borax liquid devices. They work a little, hard to say how well as the ant presence tend to slowly wind down.
These traps were remarkable. I had about 10 to 15 ants targeting my cats dry food for a few days. I put down just one of these new combat traps. Within a couple of hours it was swarming with 100s of ants. The next day they were all gone and never came back. It worked completely in a little over 24 hours.
