Need it to wear it for those cold car duty days at school as well as wear it if I have to change a flat tire in the dark on the highway.
Did a lot of research on vis brand jackets/hoodies and this offers a stowed hood collar pocket and removable liner for flexibility. This jacket is very thick with the liner and will need some time to break in but that is what you want. Exterior vis fabric weave is dense and reflective strips are well anchored. The wrist is a bit snug with a Velcro band but pull the liner sleeve back and it should be comfortable . As a post script check out Buffalo Outdoors Workwear as I also ordered from some vis items from them too.
The Ergodyne sizing is a bit skewed usually go with XL on all jackets and went with the Large according to their size chart and it fits great. 6ft tall 200lbs, with arm size 25 inch shoulder to distance of wrist/thumb.

I’m used to Ergodyne quality so it wasn’t a surprise that it’s good quality .
From the dual outer pockets (2 upper that snap and 2 hand warmer pockets ) that are fleece lined top the dual inner pockets (vs just 1 on my bomber) to the extra warm lining , even though it is extremely light weight , to the rip stop fabric I’m extremely satisfied with this jacket. Though the lining isn’t removable it doesn’t make the jacket cumbersome to move around in . Being non removable is why I went 4X this time instead of my usual 3X in heavy jackets and I’m glad I did. It’s a little roomier in the shoulders without adding to the sleeve length enough to be a problem .
This is my favorite brand for work jackets and balaclavas and I’m glad I tried out a longer one this time .
Storm flaps are a must for long term ability to block the wind because though the zipper is tough it’s still plastic and is going to get broken at some point when what I do for a living.
I went with orange because it stands out better in the day than yellow does . If I worked nights I would have opted for yellow color for its better ability to be seen at night .
